Enhance the Community You Love
Community Foundation of Central Carolina, officially incorporated in 1984, seeks to help its philanthropic donors make a positive impact in their community. The Foundation accepts a wide variety of gifts and administers a range of funds; helps donors learn more about local agencies and programs; and serves as a convener for innovative projects and collaborations with other organizations. The Foundation's various grants programs are designed to benefit not for profit organizations serving Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda, and Sumter Counties in areas such as education, human services, youth development, and the arts. In addition, Chapin, Kershaw, Orangeburg-Calhoun, and Sumter Counties have established endowments specific to their areas to better serve local community needs. The foundation also offers various types of scholarship funds. The Web site provides information on the foundation's grant and scholarship programs; examples of funded organizations; an overview of giving options; and information on affiliate funds and supporting organizations.
