A Weekend Program for People Widowed, Separated, or Divorced

On October 1-3, 2010, a very special weekend workshop for people who are divorced, widowed or separated is being offered in the South Carolina Low Country. Known as the BEGINNING EXPERIENCE, it is an international program, unique in the fields of peer ministry and ministry to the single-again. Its well-structured programs are both psychologically and spiritually sound, having been designed and developed by respected Christian professionals in the fields of ministry, grief psychology, education and organizational process.

Since its inception in Texas in 1974, Beginning Experience has spread to 35 states and 8 foreign countries. It is open to people of all ages and denominations who struggle under the trauma of having lost a loving relationship and desire to take back control of their life.

Beginning Experience provides the safe space; the support and the tools to heal, to grow, and to turn ones greatest devastation into opportunity. It is a place to find understanding and compassion from trained, caring people who can truly share the long walk back to wholeness. It is not a sensitivity group or a professional counseling session. It is not intended to provide therapy or to replace the need for it. It is non-confrontational and invitational.

Each Weekend Program is designed to help people who are widowed, separated, or divorced make a new beginning in life. It provides an atmosphere of support and acceptance where people can come together to re-evaluate themselves and their lives, and move on to the future with renewed hope.
