Can You Help?
The Crisis Ministries Homeless Shelter is home to Charleston?s most vulnerable citizens. To keep up with the demand for shelter, they need your help! In order to house as many people as possible, please consider a gift to Support a Program or Service. The number of homeless men, women, and families seeking shelter has been on the rise due to the recent economic crisis and rising unemployment rates. Your tax-deductible donation just may be the one that keeps a man, woman or child from experiencing life on the streets. The shelter?s most urgent needs include: - Toothpaste
- Tooth Brushes
- Toilet Paper
- Paper Towels
- Deodorant
- Men's underwear in small and medium sizes
- Women's underwear in all sizes
- 40x bras in D, E, Fs
- Sports bras in all sizes
- Hand sanitizer
- White Wash Cloths
- Feminine Products
- Shower shoes in various sizes
- Towels (white is preferred due to bleaching)
- Disposable razors
- Band-Aids
- Lysol
- Pine-sol
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Liquid dish soap (Palmolive, Dawn, etc.)
- Aluminum foil, plastic wrap
- Cleanser (Comet, etc.)
- Pot holders.
Financial donations and/or gift cards are also a great way to help Crisis Ministries access emergency items when they need them. They accept donations on weekdays during business hours. For large contributions, please call 843-723-9477 ext. 139 to ensure storage space is available.
