Free Health Help
Health ministries help to care for those individuals in our community unable to qualify for government aid; unable to afford available private medical care; and seeking medical help and counseling regarding unexpected/unwanted pregnancy, the preborn child, alternatives to abortion; shelter for expectant mothers and their children; and/or the heartbreak associated with post abortion syndrome (PAS). Health ministries provide these individuals with free primary medical and dental care, needed medications, education as to appropriate health maintenance and prevention of future health problems, and/or referrals to other social service organizations. Health ministries may also sponsor free health fairs for flu shots, blood pressure screening, nutrition advice, mammograms, etc. Look under Poverty Ministries for other social ministry organizations that offer people a wide variety of services, including health. Health ministry volunteers might include physicians, dentists, registered nurses, social workers, and administrative support personnel. If you would like your South Carolina health ministry organization featured on this website, please contact us. |
